Is This Your Church?
Ephesians 2:19 – 22
Now therefore we are no more strangers (racially divided) and foreigners (culturally divided), but fellow-citizens with the saints and of the household of God;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together grows and becomes a holy temple in the Lord.
In whom, you also are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.

No short cuts to Hard Work!
As you may know, I’m working on finishing new songs so they can be downloaded. I’ve been spending hours and hours daily on just one song. I would love to get it done much quicker, but the Holy Spirit is in charge and He’s showing me that there are no short cuts to hard work.
The song I’m working on is about being “ON FIRE” for the Lord. Sometimes I have to stop playing and singing, because the heat of God’s holy fire gets to be too much for me to contain.
Saints, there’s no other road but hard work if you want to complete your assignment on earth and be the best you can be. However, we don’t work in our own strength.
It’s a labor of love and the Holy Spirit is our Coach and Teacher. If we submit to Him, what we produce will bear much fruit for the Lord!

True Worship is Priceless!
Once I was offered an amount of money weekly to play trumpet in a church’s worship team.
I said “No” without even thinking about it. It kind of surprised me that I had such strong convictions,
as the offer seemed to touch something deep within in me that wasn’t for sale.
In my heart I could not reconcile being paid to worship the Lord. No matter how I viewed the thought, I knew I could not do it.
This is not to judge others or say it’s wrong to receive pay for playing music in a church setting, but for me it was a moment of truth. It was like it had already been settled in heaven.
I believe it has something to do with my calling more than anything else. As we learn more about our assignment on earth, we will discover such “hidden” truths about ourselves.
To quote Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Love gives itself; it is not bought.”

You're a Champion!
When did you stop liking yourself or seeing the Champion in you?
We know that clothes speak, and even how we smell speaks:) but that’s not who we really are.
If you were to draw a picture of how you see yourself what would it look like?
Do you see a Champion? Well, He’s there inside of you, and He’s perfect in every way imaginable.
Let Jesus show you how to win in every situation, so you can lift up your Champion hands after each victory!

Will the Eternal Gate open to Heaven or Hell?
Try as you might to avoid it, the Gate to your eternal existence will open one day and you must pass through it.
Given this fact, you would think more people would want to prepare for the event.
It’s your choice while there’s breath in your body. When the last one is taken, there’s no turning back
The Gate opens…You go through it…and your life will go on and on forever.

Everyday is a Gift!
Don’t waste another day. Everything you do is being recorded in heaven.
What if the Lord played back everything you did today on a Big screen and made you watch?
Would you be ashamed of the time you wasted away or would you see a person desperately in love with God making the most of every opportunity to serve Him?
It’s your choice. Use your God-given time on earth to accomplish things for Him or spend it foolishly, only to regret it later.

WHO’S IN CHARGE?
Have you ever had the Holy Spirit prompt you to “do” or “not do” something and with all your good intentions, you can’t seem to get it done in a timely manner?
Well then, I ask you, “Who’s in charge?” What reasons (excuses) can we give for not obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit?
The real issue is that you are not in control of your flesh and haven’t learned how to MAKE IT DO SOMETHING without a big internal fight. Just repent of stubbornness and laziness and begin training your flesh to obey your voice as you in turn, are trying to obey the Holy Spirit.
It will take time to rein in your impulses to not have their way, but eventually it will become easier to turn the orders from above into a reality in your walk with Christ.
Taking your God-given authority over your flesh in the name of JESUS always works!

The Devil is a LIAR.
Just think if you knew someone who always lied to you. You couldn’t believe anything
they ever said. Also, they were always telling you bad things you didn’t want or need to hear. Plus, they won't ever go away and leave you alone while you are on earth.
That’s what you are dealing with regarding satan and his demonic world.
Never let the guard down on your spiritual eyes and ears. Remember the enemy is ALWAYS looking for an opening. He wants to do damage and take ground for his kingdom.
Our weapons are not of this world (carnal) and yet they are MIGHTY through God. YOU must pull down every negative stronghold erected in your path. Getting upset or frustrated does nothing.
Taking your God-given authority over the devil in the name of JESUS always works!

PRESS THROUGH!
Twice now, I’ve recorded a new Podcast and something has happened to ruin both of them.
With the first one, when I heard the playback, the sound was much distorted in what I considered the most anointed parts of the lesson.
Truly, Spiritual Warfare.
When I finished recording the second new Podcast, the computer crashed and I lost the file I created.
I was disappointed, but I am not deterred and I'm more motivated than ever to PRESS THROUGH and do whatever it takes
to complete a Podcast on Saturday 12/6.

WE'RE WINNERS!
I am not a boxing fan, but a while ago I was captured by a TV documentary about a boxing match between Laila Ali and Gwendolyn O’Neil from Georgetown, Guyana which took place on February 3, 2007 at the Emperor's Palace Casino in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Prior to the fight, Gwendolyn talked about how she was going to knock Laila out in the 3rd round.
She was constantly verbally taunting Laila by saying how bad she was going to defeat her. I remember Laila saying, “I’m not going to back down. They can’t break me. I guess I’ll have to be knocked out. My father is the same way.”
The actual fight only lasted 56 seconds and Laila won.
Following the boxing match, a man made this comment about Laila, “When you focus on the fact that your father is a champion, you can’t lose. You know what you’re made of – A winner.”
I thought about how that relates to us as Christians. We need to focus on who our Father is when we go into a battle and the fact that God’s Unshakeable Kingdom is within us.
I was amazed at how Laila could do the serious stare down look at her opponent. We need to be that way with the devil and never back down but instead hold our ground as we put him under our feet!

PRESS ON!
You may feel like everything is going wrong today. You find yourself doing the opposite of what you want to do,
and wherever you look things are messed up. Don’t quit working hard toward your vision.
We all fight off negative fiery darts thrown at us by the enemy of our soul. They are designed to penetrate our shield of faith
to get our eyes off of Jesus and on ourselves.
You can deflate offensive and oppressive thoughts by encouraging yourself with the promises of God even if nothing seems to be going right.
KEEP YOU HEART AND MIND FOCUSED ON JESUS.
Think of the one word He said to Peter, “Come.” Picture Jesus holding out His nail scarred hands beckoning you to keep on going
in His direction no matter what you see, feel or hear around you. Even if you go under, He’ll pick you up,
so NEVER STOP WORKING HARD for the Kingdom of God with all your might, because the Son will eventually shine through your stormy day.

THINK JESUS!
I've discovered a wonderful way to immediately clear my mind of all negative thoughts and mental debris.
That is, worry, doubt, unbelief or anything contrary to the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord.
By thinking the name of JESUS, it’s like a BIG ERASER miraculously removes all thoughts of fear and anxiety.
Try it anywhere, whether you’re walking down the street and the enemy reminds you of things to fret about or when you have trouble going to sleep, just think the name “JESUS’ over and over.
You will be amazed at how Heaven's peace will flood your mind and heart when you simply think the name that is above all names "JESUS".

One Day at a Time
There's no way you can live more than One Day at a time. So stop trying.
Regrets about the past or worry about the future is satan's way of stealing God's gift of "TODAY"
Yesterday will never return and tomorrow is not promised, so what about TODAY?
Before you were born, God had a blueprint for each of your days, so enjoy them. ONE DAY AT A TIME!

Focus on Jesus
Focus on how good Jesus Is - NOT on how messed up you are.
Jesus came that He might destroy all the works of the devil. (I John 3:8)
Let Jesus do the work of changing you by His Holy Spirit, instead of you desperately trying to fix yourself.
The Lord is conforming you into His image according to a blueprint not made with hands.

Deal With It
DEAL WITH IT! - or it will deal with you.
As children of God we don’t have to run from anyone or anything. We can face it all. Like David we should charge toward the enemy with a desire to show the world that our God reigns.
Until you confront a problem or issue, it will continue to harass your mind. There are only two ways to respond to difficult situations one is with FAITH and the other is in FEAR. No one make this decision for you and the Lord can’t help you unless you choose the path of Faith.
Picture a movie screen. If you stay in fear you’re bound to experience a horror flick.
However, if you dare to believe God’s word and promises despite how circumstances appear or how you feel, the Unshakeable Kingdom of God and the Unchanging Person of Jesus Christ will appear on the screen and the rest is history….meaning your problem.

Let It Go
LET THE PAST GO! - Don’t look back.
We all remember what happened to Lot’s wife. She couldn’t resist taking one last peek at the life she left behind and what happened? Poof – She was gone. Changed into a pillar of salt with no future whatsoever……
It’s SO important to NOT let the devil drag you back into old emotional ties and circumstances which the Lord has powerfully delivered you from. The tug of thoughts and emotions from the darkness of your past will be tremendous. They will try to override the unction of the Holy Spirit to usher you into your destiny.
Ask yourself, why did God take me out of a past relationship or situation? What was the reason? Once you start remembering the TRUTH about your past, you will not want to drag it into your future. Amen?

The Bible will keep you out of sin, and sin will keep you out of the Bible
It is SO SO important to get your nose, eyes, and spiritual ears into the bible EVERY DAY. If you don’t, it’s like missing your personal portion of daily living water and manna (heavenly food) from the Lord. Yes, there are other ways to drink and be fed spiritually, BUT there is no substitute for your ONE-on-ONE relationship with the Word of God.
What if I were to say that I will measure your love relationship with the Lord based on the time you spend in the bible? Many of you would be embarrassed, because you know you love Him and yet don’t spend a lot of time in the Word.
In John 1:1 (New Living Translation) it says:
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Don’t go another day without opening His word and being fed directly from the Kingdom of God.
If you need a little help getting started, Tom Leding Ministries has a wonderful Daily Bible Reading Plan which I have used. Just open the calendar for the current month and read the scriptures listed. If you are an early riser, you can even join the 5:00 Club. In any event, do start reading the scriptures DAILY.

Tell The Truth
Reci is having surgery this week, so I have decided to post a favorite saying of mine until she
has recovered enough to provide a proper message for you! This is a quote from Mark Twain.
"If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything."

Pay Attention
Pay attention to everything this week. You will begin to notice the little
things you often overlook which can make your life more interesting. Pay attention to your thoughts.
Reject those which will produce negative results if allowed to stay. Consider all the words you speak
as important, because they are. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Just make sure you
are always PAYING ATTENTION wherever you are and whatever you are doing. You may find blessings hidden
in the most unlikely places. HAVE A HAPPY WEEK!
